- The Board commits to obtaining goods and services at the lowest available cost using competitive purchasing procedures. The Board will use appropriate price comparison practices to ensure achievement of best values.

Competitive Bid Process
Competitive purchasing is the acquisition of any asset, whether tangible (goods, products or construction) or intangible (services) in an open and transparent manner intended to ensure equal treatment without preference to all responsible vendors and will be processed by a competitive bid process.
All Board staff and trustees will ensure that the acquisition of goods and services are in compliance with Purchasing Policy, Purchasing Administrative Procedures and with the Broader Public Sector’s “Supply Chain Guidelines” as issued by the Ministry of Finance.
