In total, $24,834.00 was raised in support of the Board's charitable endeavours, specifically, the Halton Catholic District School Board Helping Hands for Haiti School Construction Project, the Dominican Republic H.O.P.E (Health, Opportunity, Prosperity, Education) Projects, and Sleeping Children Around the World.

The Walk was a public celebration of the Catholic school communities in Halton, reflecting the Catholic Education Week specific theme for the day - Hope in our Community. Student representatives from each of the Board's 48 schools gathered at Bronte Provincial Park in Oakville for an opening Liturgy and then walked together to Corpus Christi Catholic Secondary School in Burlington, where the day's activities culminated in an outdoor mass led by Bishop G. Bergie, Auxiliary Bishop, Diocese of Hamilton.
