FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Halton Catholic Board to Host Parent Information Evenings

Throughout the 2011-2012 school year, the Halton Catholic District School Board will be hosting Grade 8 Parent Information Evenings, Pathway Planning Information Evenings and both an IB Diploma Programme and Advanced Placement (AP) Information Night for parents and students to attend.

“These information sessions offer both parents and students an opportunity to have an open dialogue with staff about the various programs that are available to our students,” says Mary Tessari, Superintendent of Education, Halton Catholic District School Board. “The sessions are also intended to assist parents in helping their children when making the transition to secondary school and when exploring potential destinations for after they graduate.”

Grade 8 Parent Information Evenings are open to parents and students that are entering Grade 9 in September, 2012. These information nights are a great opportunity for both parents and Grade 8 students to learn about the Grade 9 program and the transition to secondary school, meet staff members and take a tour of the school.
