​Friday, November 4, 2011 was 'Random Act of Kindness' Day in Oakville and at St. Bernadette Catholic School.

The Oakville Community Foundation distributed 'Random Act of Kindness' cards throughout Oakville. Each card acted as an encouragement for the cardholder to perform a simple act of kindness for someone. Once they performed this kind act, the card was passed on to the other person, who in turn was inspired to do the same.

The St. Bernadette Student Council, under the direction of Mrs. Kastelic, Mrs. Sanderson and Mrs. Manes, organized this event to include all staff and students. This was a perfect opportunity for the St. Bernadette Schoool community to practise kindness towards each other, and to reinforce the importance of this virtue in their daily lives.
