Toronto Raptors Bring Their 'Learn to Dribble' Program to Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School

The head coach of the Toronto Raptors, Dwane Casey, and assistant coaches Johnny Davis, Tom Sterner, Scott Roth, Eric Hughes and Micah Nori, visited Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School on December 8, 2011.

They shared insightful tips while helping break down basketball fundamentals through 'Learn to Dribble' - a new Raptors grassroots program launched for the 2011-2012 season.

Addressing the assembly of Guardian Angels School students, the kids were eager to hear from the coaches. Casey and his team inspired them by tackling not only important topics on the basketball court, but in life as well.

The Raptors spoke to the students about the acronym DREAM – Dedication, Responsibility, Education, Attitude and Motivation. The students also got a first-hand look at what it takes to practise like a Raptors player, as coaches put students' skills to the test in stations focusing on passing, ball handling, shooting, rebounding and defense.

The story was covered by NBA Television, CTV, and the Milton Champion.
