St. Brigid Catholic Elementary School, in Georgetown, recently dedicated the forum to the memory of Cynthia Tobin, founding principal of the school.
The forum will serve to remind the St. Brigid Catholic Elementary School community of the meaningful and invaluable contribution Cynthia made to Catholic education in the Halton Catholic District School Board.
Cynthia was also the founding principal of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Elementary School, in Georgetown. She devoted 35 years to Catholic education in the Halton Catholic District School Board as a teacher, principal and senior administrator.
Cynthia Tobin passed away on April 21, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cynthia's legacy is manifold; she inspired many students, staff and parents throughout the years as she demonstrated Catholicity in word and deed. Her integrity, work ethic and passion for education was renowned.
