St. Bernadette Catholic Elementary School Gives to Operation Christmas Child
St. Bernadette Catholic School students packed shoe boxes full of fun and useful items for less fortunate children around the world.

As Advent began this year, the Student Council at St. Bernadette Catholic Elementary School in Oakville initiated a project called Operation Christmas Child. This project is part of the Samaritan’s Purse International Relief Organization.

The council representatives from each grade filled shoe boxes with fun and useful items to be sent to less fortunate children around the world. For those unable to donate gifts, a small monetary donation was being accepted to help defer the $7.00 cost of shipping each shoe box.

This is the third year that the St. Bernadette Catholic Elementary School Student Council has organized this very worthwhile project, and each year the contributions grow and grow. The St. Bernadette School community is positively demonstrating the true meaning of Christmas giving.
