On March 28, 2012, Christ the King Catholic Secondary School hosted a computer programming contest, sponsored by the Educational Computing Organization of Ontario (ECOO).
Each year ECOO sponsors a computer programming contest for any school board across the province that wishes to run one. The programming contest involves teams of four students who try to solve four programming problems in three hours using one computer. The teams can use any programming language.
This year, teams from across the Board competed for a chance to represent the Board at the regional level contest being held in April, 2012 at York University.
The results were:
1st place – Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School
2nd place – Corpus Christi Catholic Secondary School
3rd place – Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School
Each winning team received medals with the first place team also receiving a plaque. The winning teams move on to the regionals, where they will compete against other Toronto area teams.
Congratulations to all who participated in this programming marathon and to the coaches for their time and effort.
