Congratulations to Canadian Martyrs Catholic Elementary School Grade 6 students Natasha Betz, Kendra Da Costa and Victoria Unsworth, for creating a winning banner that is currently flying in our Country's capital.

On May 23, 2012, the National Capital Commission (NCC), in partnership with Classroom Connections, announced Canadian Martyrs Catholic School as one of the seven winners of this year’s cross-Canada “Raise Your Voices!” National Student Banner Contest.

1100 one-of-a-kind submissions were received from across Canada. The inspired designs represent issues and topics of importance to Canadian youth.

The seven winning banners have been professionally produced by the NCC and will be flown in Major’s Hill Park, Ottawa, until October, 2012, where they will be seen by thousands of residents and visitors.
