The new school year at St. Vincent Catholic Elementary School in Oakville began with great anticipation of what lies ahead.
When we speak of school we often think students, but it is also parents, teachers, support staff and our parish partners that spend countless hours preparing for a brand new year.
During the last few weeks of summer, teachers across the Board prepared their classrooms in order to have a warm welcome for their new students. Teachers were also in meetings discussing students' needs and developing strategies to encourage all students to meet with success.
On September 20, 2012, St. Vincent School had a Welcome Back BBQ that was organized by parent volunteers and teachers. Parents, students, teachers and some graduates were welcomed back for a chance to get reacquainted. Former students came out to receive year books and tell their former teachers all about their exciting year-to-date at their choice of secondary school. This in itself exhibits the positive student/teacher relationships that are present at St. Vincent School.
The St. Vincent Catholic Elementary School community is excited about another wonderful school year!
