The Halton Catholic District School Board has announced that it will hold its Regular Board Meeting on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Lumen Christi Catholic Elementary School in Milton. The public session will begin at 7:30 p.m.
As part of its commitment to engage parents and community members, the Halton Catholic District School Board will resume its past practice of periodically hosting board meetings at school facilities across the municipalities of Halton. This year, two meetings will be hosted within local communities served by the Board: the first to take place in Milton on October 16th.
“We have identified parent and community engagement as priorities, and we are committed to conducting Board business in a manner that is open, accessible, and transparent,” says Alice Anne LeMay, Chair of the Board. “We invite parents and local ratepayers to come out to the meeting at Lumen Christi on October 16th.”
The Board has also scheduled its Regular Board Meeting of March 5, 2013, to take place at St. Mary Catholic Elementary School in Oakville.
As an additional component in efforts designed to engage its community, the Board also recently approved a motion to begin podcasting its Regular Board Meetings.
