 FAQs

The construction of the new Milton Catholic Secondary School is well underway with a scheduled opening for student occupancy in September, 2013. The school, designed by Snyder and Associates is located on the southwest corner of Louis St. Laurent Blvd. and Bronte Street South in Milton.

One of the first steps in the development of a new school is the initiation of a School Boundary Review Process for the new secondary school, and the schools which could be affected by the establishment of the new secondary school’s attendance area boundaries. Subsequently, the Board has directed staff to initiate a School Boundary Review Process for the new Milton Catholic Secondary School that will affect the following schools:
  • Bishop P. F. Reding Catholic Secondary School
  • Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Elementary School
  • Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School
  • Our Lady of Victory Catholic Elementary School
  • Holy Rosary (Milton) Catholic Elementary School
  • St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Elementary School
  • Lumen Christi Catholic Elementary School
  • St. Peter Catholic Elementary School
A School Boundary Review Advisory Committee, composed of school community/Catholic School Council representatives and Board staff, has been established as part of the School Boundary Review Process.

At the October 2, 2012 Regular Meeting of the Halton Catholic District School Board, trustees unanimously approved an exception to the School Boundary Review Process (Board Policy I-29), to modify the upcoming Milton Catholic Secondary Schools boundary review process. For more information, please refer to the Board report.

A Community Consultation Meeting was held on October 22, 2012. Community members who were not able to attend the consultation meeting held were provided the opportunity to provide input online until October 29, 2012. For all of the background information, please review the Community Consultation Presentation.
