Our School

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, together with home, Church, and community strives to develop within each child a love for learning and a mutual respect and appreciation for God’s creation. Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School is dedicated to providing a learning environment that meets the needs of all learners by working diligently to promote a collaborative culture that encourages excellence through the demonstration of students' God given gifts and talents.

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School is located at 709 Bolingbroke Drive in south Milton. The school is entering its third full school year since construction was completed in August 2009. Last year, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School grew to approximately 900 students before dividing with the newly built and opened Lumen Christi.

Currently, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School has 685 students registered and supports the Early Learning Kindergarten Program, French Immersion classes and Grades 1 to 8 programming. Of the 685 students registered, 192 are enrolled in the Early Learning Kindergarten Program, 208 are enrolled in Grades 1 to 3, 211 are enrolled in Grades 4 to 6, and 74 are enrolled in Grades 7 and 8.

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School has a unique demographic sample of students and possesses distinctive characteristics and features of the community it serves.

Curriculum Focus

​Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School is deeply committed to ensuring that every student reaches their full potential. In order to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, and to ensure that high standards are consistently being met, staff members always take a vested interest in advocating for student needs. 

By incorporating a range of placement options, implementing instructional strategies that promote student success, and using data to provide evidence-informed decision making, Our Lady of Fatima students are able to learn in different ways and demonstrate a high degree of success. At Our Lady of Fatima, staff members also make a concerted effort to maintain student engagement in the learning process by adapting the curriculum according to the interests, abilities and goals of our students.

Environmental Focus

​Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School is striving towards becoming a Gold Status School in our province's Eco School Certification Program (currently a Silver Status School rating).

Our Green Team works daily to reduce waste, encourage recycling and find new ways to reduce our energy and water consumption by taking on many different initiatives.

Parent Community Involvement

Our Lady of Fatima is blessed to have a very active network of parents who volunteer in our school and make school life a better place for everyone. 
Volunteer activities range from being a classroom volunteer, being a trip supervisor to assisting with a special event and/or program taking place in our school.  Our parent volunteers truly make a difference!  If you are interested in being a parent volunteer, place contact the Main Office.

 

In addition our Catholic School Council is an active and enthusiastic group that regularly meets, organizes activities linked to the School Improvement Plan SMART goals, as well as supports and offers direction to the school community.

Community Use of the School

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School is regularly used by the community for various sports and community activities outside of the school day (e.g., International School of Languages).
