​Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Elementary School is a partnership of students, staff, church and home dedicated to fostering gospel values in enabling a learning environment which promotes the dignity, respect and potential of all students.

Student Success Programs

​The primary purpose of Student Success is to improve student learning.  Sacred Heart of Jesus School is committed to assessment and evaluation practices that are grounded in the belief that all students should be able to demonstrate their learning in an environment that reflects the Catholic values of respect, fairness and equity for all.

Curriculum Focus

​Sacred Heart of Jesus School is committed to providing a learning environment that enables all students to develop academically, spiritually and socially to their full potential.  To this end, the school promotes literacy and numeracy through a variety of activities and programs reflecting Catholic values and current teaching practices.

Environmental Focus

​Our Environment Team is actively involved in the promotion of initiatives to raise the awareness of environmental issues affecting our world, and helping our school to adopt practices to reduce waste and make our school environmentally-friendly.  As a result of our efforts, we are an Eco-Certified School in the Province of Ontario.

Parent Community Involvement

​Sacred Heart of Jesus School Council is actively involved in the life of our school.  Fundraising and parent engagement remain our most important focus areas.

Community Use of the School

​Sacred Heart of Jesus School is regularly used by the community for various sports and community activities.  The school hosts Heritage Language classes held on Saturdays throughout the year.  For details on Heritage Language classes, please contact the Board's Thomas Merton Continuing Education Center.
