Our School

As a community of faith with Christ as our centre, 
St.Catherine of Alexandria Catholic School embodies the Catholic social teachings of Human Dignity through an acceptance of the true uniqueness of each individual while interacting with the mind, heart and hands of Jesus.

In partnership with home and parish, our staff is dedicated to promoting a learning environment that encourages excellence and enables all students to reach their potential through the recognition of their individual giftedness. ​

Student Success Programs

​The primary purpose of Student Success programming is to improve student learning. St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic School is committed to assessment and evaluation practices that are grounded in the belief that all students should be able to demonstrate their learning in an environment that reflects the Catholic values of fairness, equity and respect.

Curriculum Focus

​The staff of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic School is dedicated to ensuring that each and every student has the opportunity to achieve success. We have set high academic expectations and standards for our students and with rich opportunities and appropriate support, our students have proven their ability to rise to the challenge.

We continue to focus on small group differentiated instruction with an emphasis on assessment for/of and as learning. In addition, each grade chooses specific Learning Skills to focus on and address each term.

Environmental Focus

​St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic School is presently working toward Silver Status in our province's Eco School Certification Program. Our Eco Team works diligently to encourage a reduction in school generated waste as well as the responsible use of both water and electricity. Our school encourage active living and healthy eating with a focus on our responsibility as Stewards of Creation.

Parent Community Involvement

We are blessed to have a very active network of parents who volunteer in our school! Our parents run the school milk and lunch programs, read to children in their classrooms, lend a hand to teachers and join us for regular school masses and liturgies. We also love having grandmas and grandpas too!

Community Use of the School

​Our school is a busy place where each Monday through Friday community groups gather for team sports and other activities when the school day is done. If you are interested in joining any of these groups, the Town of Halton Hills will provide you with additional information.
