Code of Behaviour

In keeping with the philosophy of the Halton Catholic District School Board, our school is a community dedicated to Christ, where Christianity is learned through living in that very community.

The Code of Behaviour for students recognizes the self-worth of every student and establishes the framework to help students develop a sense of self-discipline. We believe that students, parents and staff should have a clear understanding of the school’s expectations for student behaviour. The basic expectations for student behaviour and attendance, and the disciplinary consequences for misconduct, are outlined in the school document entitled “Code of Behaviour” which will be distributed to students early in the Fall of the school year.

School Organization

Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 students are on a Semester System. Each secondary school will provide for heterogeneous and flexible groupings of students within classes. Students are expected to carry a full course load each semester. This holds true for all Secondary Schools, with the exception of Thomas Merton Secondary School. Courses Of Study

The Courses offered in this handbook have been developed according to the requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education.
