Recruitment and Selection Process

We appreciate the opportunity to review all applications; however, due to the large volume, only those applicants selected to be interviewed will be contacted.  Selection for an interview is based on the applicant’s package in reference to the Board’s system needs for the school year.

The Halton Catholic District School Board's hiring process is centralized and administered by Human Resources Services. Please do not submit unsolicited applications or resumes to either the Human Resources department or Principals/Vice Principals in our schools. Mail-in applications will not be processed.

The Board interviews large groups of potential teacher candidates in February, March and April. We encourage you to submit your applications as early as possible in the new year.

Applications will be retained for a period of one year.

In the event that you are selected for an interview, you will be required to provide original copies of your Criminal Reference Check as well as Negative Tuberculin test.

If you require additional information, please contact one of the following teacher recruitment staff who will be happy to assist you at  905-632-6300 or 1-800-741-8382.
