The Halton Catholic District School Board is set to welcome back students for a new school year. Catholic Elementary School have created posters in tribute of Canada’s fallen soldiers in Afghanistan. The Halton Catholic District School Board’s students, who participated in the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT), continued with the Board’s trend of achieving positive results. The Halton Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce the approval of five new Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs for the 2010-2011 school year, in addition to the 10 programs that are currently offered. Our Board has confirmed that it has received approval from the Ministry of Education of the Board's seven host schools for implementation of the first phase of Ontario's plan for a province-wide full-day early learning program. At its December 1, 2009 Regular Board Meeting, the Halton Catholic District School Board announced the selection of seven proposed schools for implementation of the first phase of Ontario's plan for a province-wide full-day early learning program (ELP). On Thursday, May 6, 2010 about 1,200 students, along with teachers, staff and parents of the Halton Catholic District School Board, participated in the Board's first annual 'Walk with Jesus'. The Halton Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce this year's recipients of the annual Governor General Bronze Medal, which is awarded to the student graduating with the highest average from high school.
