The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) is happy to announce the following appointments to Superintendent of Education:
- Emi Bakaic
- Anthony Cordeiro
- Nancy Dinolfo
Emi began her career with Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board, and in 2007 she joined HCDSB when she was appointed to the position of Vice-Principal. In 2008, she was promoted to Principal, and over the years has served in a leadership role across various Catholic elementary school communities, including: St. Anthony of Padua, St. Peter, Holy Rosary (Milton), St. Dominic, and St. Luke, where she is currently the Principal.
Anthony first started working with HCDSB in 1993 as an Educational Assistant. In 1994, he was hired as a Secondary School Teacher, and has since served a number of school communities in a variety of roles of progressive responsibility, including Department Head, Summer School Principal, Secondary School Vice-Principal, and Secondary School Principal. He is currently Principal at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School in Burlington.
Nancy has been a Catholic educator for 29 years and has served numerous Catholic elementary school communities across HCDSB, including – St. Luke, St. James, St. Marguerite d’Youville, St. Raphael, St. Elizabeth Seton, St. Anne and St. Matthew. In 2003, she was appointed to the position of Elementary Vice-Principal, and in 2005 she was promoted to Elementary Principal. She is currently the Principal at St. Matthew Catholic Elementary School in Oakville.

“Emi brings a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm to all she does. Her strong work ethic and solid leadership skills will serve her well as she undertakes her new system leadership role.
Anthony’s experience is extensive, and he is recognized for his acumen, his diligence and his sound judgement – all qualities that will make him an effective Superintendent.
Nancy is one our most experienced Catholic leaders who is highly respected by colleagues, parents and students alike. Her insightful, principled and collaborative leadership style will make her a strong addition to our senior team.
The combined strengths and the wealth of expertise that Emi, Anthony and Nancy bring to their new roles will certainly benefit our entire Catholic school district.”
These appointments will fill the openings on the senior leadership team that were created by the retirements of Anna Prkacin and Toni Pinelli, and the appointment of Camillo Cipriano to Director of Education for Niagara Catholic District School Board.
