The Halton Catholic District School Board has begun the process to develop our next Multi-Year Strategic Plan, and we would like you to participate in the important first step of this process.

Why a Strategic Plan?

Our current strategic plan was established in 2016, and as we know, a lot has changed over the past five (5) years, and in particular over the past year. As we continue to adapt to current demands so that we can continue meeting the needs of our students, it is important to ensure that we have a solid strategic plan in place that will provide long-term direction for the next several years.

Over the next few months, we will be undertaking a thorough review of our existing plan and our current reality. At various stages along this process, we will be seeking the input of our stakeholders – parents, students, staff, parish and community members.

Strategic Planning Steering Committee

To guide this process, we have struck a Strategic Planning Steering Committee, comprised of all elected Trustees, as well as our three Student Trustees. The Director of Education and other Board staff also attend Steering Committee Meetings, as needed.

Review of Our Mission, Vision and Values

On Monday, February 8, 2021, the Strategic Planning Steering Committee held their first meeting. The first task they undertook was the review of our Mission, Vision and Values statements. This is an important step, as it establishes who we arewhere we want to go, and what is important to us as an organization.

The Steering Committee made some suggested changes to each of Mission, Vision, and Values statements. Before finalizing these changes, we are seeking the input of our HCDSB stakeholders – students, parents, staff, parish and community members.

Share Your Thoughts!

Please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey and let us know if you agree with the suggested changes to our Mission, Vision and Values.

The survey will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2021.

The results of this survey will be shared with the Strategic Planning Steering Committee and will help guide the final decision of the Board of Trustees as they validate the Mission, Vision and Values at a future Board Meeting.

Thank you for your time. Your perspective is important to us as we develop our next Multi-Year Strategic Plan.
