As part of St. Nicholas Catholic Elementary School’s Lenten Initiative, student Jack Kozik and his family raised an incredible $1000 for Sleeping Children Around the World!

As part of the initiative, St. Nicholas students are raising money to purchase bedkits for children in developing countries. The bedkits include a mattress, pillow, blanket, mosquito net, clothing, towel, back-pack and school supplies to children in developing countries.

The Kozik family aligned their “4 x 4 x 48” Challenge with St. Nicholas’ Lenten Initiative. The goal of the 4 x 4 x 48 challenge is to raise money for charity, and involves running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. Through the Kozik family’s hard work, they were able to raise over $1000 towards Sleeping Children Around the World!

The donation will go towards purchasing an additional 30 bedkits, bringing St. Nicholas’ current total to 81 bedkits!

Congratulations to the Kozik family on this outstanding achievement, and thank you to the St. Nicholas school community for doing your part in helping those in need!
