June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada. This month, and every day, the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) celebrates and honours the history, heritage and diversity of Indigenous peoples in our country, and in our HCDSB community.

National Indigenous History Month is a time for learning about, appreciating and acknowledging the contributions First Nations, Inuit and Métis people have made in shaping Canada. It is also an opportunity to recognize the strength of present-day Indigenous communities.

HCDSB families, students and staff are invited to participate in virtual family paint nights to get creative at home and learn about Indigenous art.
