The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) is pleased to announce the appointments of two new members of senior staff: 

  • Em Del Sordo, Superintendent of Education, School Services
  • Colleen Oldman, Superintendent of Human Resources Services

Em Del Sordo

Em has more than 18 years of professional experience working at the Ministry of Education, as well as in school and system leadership roles. He served as the Student Achievement Officer at the Ministry of Education supporting the Wellington Catholic, Waterloo Catholic, Toronto Catholic and Halton Catholic District School Boards in school improvement planning, continuing education improvement plans and learning plans for Mathematics. 

Em has served in a variety of educational roles including Vice-Principal, Principal, System Principal of Programs for Curriculum (Kindergarten to Grade 12) and Student Success at the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board.

Colleen Oldman

Colleen has over 10 years of professional experience working in a variety of roles in Human Resources, with extensive knowledge in employee and labour relations, coordination and administration of collective agreements, negotiation, staff recruitment, disability management and training, as well as experience in health, safety and wellness portfolios.

Over the past 6 years, Colleen has served as Manager of Human Resources for the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board; Manager of Employee and Labour Relations; as well as Senior Manager in Human Resources Services for the Durham Catholic District School Board.

These appointments will fill the openings on the senior staff team that were created by the retirements of Colin McGillicuddy, Superintendent of Education (School Services), and Joe O’Hara, Executive Officer of Human Resources Services.
