Executive Compensation 

In 2014, the Government of Ontario introduced the Broader Public Sector Executive Compensation Act (BPSECA). Regulation 304/16 requires Ontario broader public sector employers to develop an Executive Compensation Program, including an Executive Compensation Framework, to ensure a responsible, transparent, and consistent approach to setting executive compensation in the broader public sector.

Executive Compensation Report

In consultation with the Government of Ontario, HCDSB has developed a proposed Executive Compensation Report to fulfill the requirements of provincial regulations. 

As part of this regulation, all Ontario broad public sector employers are required to conduct a 30-day public consultation on their proposed Executive Compensation. Following public feedback and review of the input from the Ministry of Education, the final Executive Compensation Report will be posted.

We will be providing the Ministry of Education with a summary of the input we received for their review. Pending approval by the Ministry of Education and Board of Trustees, the final executive compensation program will be posted on our Board’s website.
