Recently, St. James Catholic Elementary School ran a Christmas Drive for three weeks for the second year in a row. The Christmas Drive, run by Emma Genovese, Kindergarten Teacher and Christopher Porto, Grade 2/3 Teacher, collected non-perishable food donations, toiletries and warm clothing. All classes, staff and parent council members donated generously.
This year, the Christmas Drive raised an impressive 1,309 items for families in need within the St. James Catholic School community.
"The spirit of the season has touched St. James School and we are very happy and blessed to be able to give back to our community," said Emma Genovese, Christmas Drive Coordinator.
