Holy Trinity Tronic Titans and the PEO, Oakville Chapter, To Host 'Power Me Up Engineering' Event
The Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School Tronic Titans are partnering with the Professional Engineers of Ontario, Oakville Chapter, to host the 'Power Me Up Engineering' event during National Engineering Month.

March, 2012 is National Engineering Month, and the Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School Tronic Titans, in partnership with the Professional Engineers of Ontario - Oakville Chapter are celebrating it by again hosting the Power Me Up Engineering event on Saturday, March 3, 2012.

Ontario is celebrating National Engineering Month (NEM) with activities and events planned across the province. The goal of NEM is to raise awareness of the importance of engineering and technology in our daily lives and to encourage young students to consider careers in engineering and technology.

The Power Me Up Engineering event promises to be an exciting NEM celebration, better and larger than before. With a full day of activities planned for students, teachers, mentors and the public at large.

Some of the activities planned are: a presentation by Engineers Without Borders' Water for the World; a "Power Up My Water" Challenge, where attendees can participate; and new this year, a networking and career info segment with engineers from different backgrounds.

The Power Me Up Engineering event is free to attend, with morning refreshments and lunch provided. There will also be many prizes to be won!

To register for the event, please contact Education Outreach Committee members Zahraa Al-Ali, Zahraa.oakvillechapter@gmail.com or Parisa Mahdian, education@peo-oakvillechapter.ca. This event is open to all school levels in Oakville and Milton. The deadline to register is Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
