March 5th Regular Board Meeting to be Held at St. Mary Catholic Elementary School in Oakville

The Halton Catholic District School Board has announced that it will hold its Regular Board Meeting on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Elementary School in Oakville. The public session will begin at 7:30 p.m.

As a component of its commitment to engage parents and community members, the Halton Catholic District School Board has resumed its past practice of periodically hosting board meetings at school facilities within local communities served by the Board.

"Having identified parent and community engagement as priorities, we are committed to conducting the Board's business in a manner that is open and transparent,” says Diane Rabenda, Chair of the Board. "The intent is to make our board meetings more easily accessible to parents and ratepayers who do not live in Burlington. In October, we held one of our meetings in Milton. We will hold our March 5th meeting in Oakville. Parents and local ratepayers who may wish to attend are most welcome to join us.”

Two remote board meetings were scheduled for the 2012-2013 school year. The first remote meeting was held on October 16, 2012 at Lumen Christi Catholic Elementary School in Milton. The meeting on March 5, 2013, will be held at St. Mary Catholic Elementary School, located at 2175 Colonel William Parkway in Oakville.
