Bishop Reding Student Awarded the 2014 Schulich Leader Scholarship
Congratulations to Pooja Srikanth, awarded the 2014 Schulich Leader Scholarship!
​Pooja​ Srikanth, Bishop P.F. Reding Catholic Secondary School graduate and recipient of the Schulich Leader Scholarship.

The Halton Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce that Bishop P. F. Reding Catholic Secondary School student, Pooja Srikanth has been awarded the coveted Canadian Schulich Leader Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to students who excel in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) and who are interested in pursuing a degree in these subjects at one of 20 participating universities.

Students must possess at least two of the following attributes in order to be considered candidates for the scholarship: academic excellence, financial need, and/or outstanding community, business or entrepreneurial leadership.

Bishop P.F. Reding Catholic Secondary School proudly nominated Pooja Srikanth for the Schulich Leader Scholarship and as a result, she will be receiving $80,000 for her post-secondary studies! Pooja will be studying Engineering at McMaster University, beginning in the fall of 2014.

Throughout her secondary school experience, Pooja has excelled academically, in extracurricular activities, and has become a role model to her fellow classmates. Some of her achievements include organizing a Multicultural Night, winning the Instrumental Music Award, playing competitive basketball, receiving the Duke of Edinburgh; Bronze Award, and being chosen as a ‘Leader in Black’.

Congratulations to Pooja Srikanth on her well-earned accomplishments! The Halton Catholic District School Board wishes her continued success in her post-secondary studies and beyond.
