L2L Student Leadership Conference
 

WHAT:

On Friday, May 12, student leaders in Grades 7 and 8 will gather at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Elementary School to be acknowledged for their peer to peer tutoring achievements at the Licensed to Learn (L2L) Leadership Conference.

WHY:

On Friday, May 12, leaders from across HCDSB will gather to participate in a full day of interactive activities focused on student leadership.

Licensed to Learn (L2L)​ is an Ontario-based charitable organization dedicated to boosting student success through personalized peer tutoring.

The activities at the conference will be designed to further develop leadership skills in students, who actively volunteer and participate as 'L2L Tutors' in their own school communities. The day will emphasize learning through physical and intellectual activities, which includes getting active through exercise.

The workshop facilitator for the day will be Miguel Martinez, an inspirational leader and certified Zumba instructor. ​
