Upcoming 2017-2018 Travel for Credit Information Evenings

The Thomas Merton Centre for Continuing Education is thrilled to hostparent information sessions about its EduTravel for Credit Programs on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, November 15, 2017  in the Cafeteria of St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Secondary School, located at 1550 Nottinghill Gate in Oakville.
  • Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the Cafeteria of Corpus Christi Catholic Secondary School, located at 5150 Upper Middle Road in Burlington.
  • Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in the Lecture Hall of Bishop P.F. Reding Catholic Secondary School, located at 1120 Main Street East in Milton.

All information sessions will begin at 7:00 p.m.

This educational program, offered in partnership with EduTravel, provides students in Grades 9, 10, and 11 the unique opportunity to achieve compulsory credits, while experiencing the rich cultural heritage of various world-class destinations.

Which courses are being offered?

  • Grade 10 Civics and Careers courses during March Break, 2018 and in July, 2018 in Ottawa, Montreal, and New York City.
  • Grade 11 and 12 University credits in English through the Spirit of America program, where students can study in Boston, New York City, and Washington D.C. during the month of July, 2018.
  • Grade 12 International Business studies in New York City, during March Break, 2018 and July, 2018.
  • New this school year ~ Grade 11 World Religions in Toronto and New York City in July, 2018.
  • Grade 11 and 12 University English in Italy, during the month of July, 2018.
  • The new Social Justice and Tolerance program will take place in Poland and Germany offering Grade 11 courses in Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity, and Grade 12 University courses in Equity and Social Justice in July, 2018.
