The students at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Elementary School in Milton are doing their part this year to ensure that every family can experience a joyful Christmas. The Angel Tree initiative began when the school opened 8 years ago, and has since become a tradition that allows the school to give back to the community.

When the Advent season arrives each year, there is a bare evergreen tree situated in the school foyer, waiting to be adorned with angels. When a student brings in a donated item, he/she receives an angel to decorate and place on the tree.

This year, Our Lady of Fatima has once again decided to assist families in our community at Halton Women's Place. Halton Women's Place is a foundation that provides shelter and crisis services for women and their children. By supporting this initiative we are living out the Gospel message by serving Christ through our generosity to our fellow brothers and sisters.

The students at OLF collaborated with one another in their divisions to provide a variety of much needed items. The items included everything from baby clothes to toiletries, household items and even small kitchen appliances! From Kindergarten to Intermediate grades, each division did their part to help decorate the tree with their kindness.

With over 300 angels now decorating the Angel Tree, and over 20 boxes of collected items, onlookers can definitely feel the love and support in the halls at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Elementary School!
