Time to Register for Kindergarten at HCDSB!
 



The Halton Catholic District School Board has set aside two days for Advanced Kindergarten Registration for the 2018-2019 school year: Tuesday, January 23 & Wednesday, January 24, 2018 during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. 


HCDSB offers a full-day, 2-year Kindergarten Program that is designed to engage early learners through various types of play that help children develop reasoning and problem-solving skills as they interact with one another. 

Registration Requirements:

Registration forms are available at each elementary school. Applications must include the following:

 

  • ​​Proof of age:
Year 1 (Junior Kindergarten) children are required to be 4 years of age on or before December 31, 2018. Year 2 (Senior Kindergarten) children are required to be 5 years of age on or before December 31, 2018.​
  • Roman or Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal certificate for the child or one of the parents, in accordance with Policy I-22​
  • Proof of address​

NOTE: Children currently registered in their Catholic school’s Year 1 program are not required to register for the Year 2 program. Placement in the Year 2 program will be processed by the school, unless otherwise stated.​

New this year, the Board will pilot an online Kindergarten registration process at five Catholic elementary schools across different municipalities in the district.
Families who live within the boundaries of one of these five schools are invited to submit their Kindergarten registration online, beginning Tuesday, January 23, 2018. The link to the online registration form will be available on each of the five pilot school websites as of January 23rd.
