HCDSB Participates in Bike to School Week & Month!

Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) schools are invited to participate in Bike to School Week, from May 28 to June 1, 2018, and Bike Month 2018, which officially begins on Monday, May 28th, and continues until the end of June.

Students and staff are encouraged to 'get ready to roll' by biking or walking to school, and can participate in a number of community events including guided bike tours, festivals, art shows, film screenings, and so much more!

Quick Facts

  • Members of the community are encouraged to highlight the activities taking place on social media, using the following hashtags on Twitter and Facebook: #biketoschoolHCDSB, #biketoschool, #bikemonthHCDSB.
  • Bike to School Week 2018 is organized by the Events Subcommittee of the Active and Sustainable School Transportation Regional Hub of Metrolinx, the Regional Transportation Authority. The campaign is affiliated with Bike Month, which is coordinated by Cycle Toronto.

As always, drivers are reminded to exercise caution while driving in and around school communities.
