Halton's Ready, Set, GO Workshops Prepare Students for Kindergarten!

Kindergarten is an exciting milestone for our early learners and families! In partnership with the Region of Halton, the Halton Catholic District School Board is pleased to host a number of Ready, Set, GO! Workshops to prepare children and their families for the start of school in September, 2019.

Ready, Set, GO! Workshops will include:

  • A tour of a Kindergarten classroom, led by Board staff;
  • Information about our before and after school programs;
  • Opportunities to ask questions and speak to staff providers of child care, before and after school, and community partners (Reach Out Centre for Kids​);
  • A presentation by the Halt​on Region public health department and staff from HCDSB.

Topics will also include: how to prepare your child emotionally and physically for school, the importance of play, packing healthy lunches, and a checklist for starting school.

Workshop Locations:

  • February 5, 2019 – St. Brigid Catholic Elementary School in Georgetown
  • February 7, 2019 – St. Andrew Catholic Elementary School in Oakville
  • February 20, 2019 – St. Anne Catholic Elementary School in Burlington
  • February 21, 2019 – Queen of Heaven Catholic Elementary School in Milton

Kindergarten Registration is Now Open!


Registration for September, 2019 is now available. Parents are invited to begin the registration process online, and submit the appropriate documentation to their home school to complete part 2 of the registration process.
