A Wish for Peace & Joy from Director Daly

As we head into the Christmas break, I wanted to take a moment to wish you and your family a very safe and happy holiday.

The month of December is a busy time of the year for all of us, but it is also a very special time of the year in our Catholic schools. The joy of the season is evident in the festive decorations, in the student artwork that lines the walls in classrooms and hallways; and of course, in the many Christmas concerts, liturgies and gatherings that take place across our district. I was fortunate to be able to attend a number of school events over the past few weeks. I left each event feeling inspired, and very blessed.

Perhaps even more inspiring than all the festivities in our schools is the way in which our students and staff have been spreading kindness in their communities. We are always proud of the great things that are happening in our classrooms. Christmas offers an opportunity to extend the good work beyond our classrooms as students and staff put their faith into action by finding ways to help others. The outpouring of generosity that I have seen across our system is a testament to our Catholic values, and an expression of the vision we hold for our students and our graduates.

For those of us who are journeying through the final days of Advent and preparing to welcome Christ into our lives and homes, I wish you a very blessed Christmas. And for those who may be celebrating another faith tradition, I wish you the peace and joy that this time of year brings. To all of our families, I hope you enjoy a very happy and healthy new year.
