Students can Travel for Credits During March Break & in the Summer of 2019!

The Thomas Merton Centre for Continuing Education will be hosting 4 parent information sessions about its EduTravel for Credit Programs on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in the Cafeteria of St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Secondary School, located at 1550 Nottinghill Gate in Oakville.
  • Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the Cafeteria of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School, located at 124 Dorval Drive in Oakville.
  • Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in the Lecture Hall of Bishop P.F. Reding Catholic Secondary School, located at 1120 Main Street East in Milton.
  • Wednesday, April 17, 2019 ​in the Cafeteria of Corpus Christ Catholic Secondary School, located at 5150 Upper Middle Road in Burlington.

All sessions will take place from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

This educational program, offered in partnership with EduTravel, provides students in Grades 9, 10, and 11 the unique opportunity to achieve compulsory credits, while experiencing the rich cultural heritage of various world-class destinations.

Which courses are being offered?

  • Grade 10 Civics and Careers courses during March Break, 2019 and in July, 2019 in Ottawa, Montreal, and New York City.
  • Grade 12 International Business studies in New York City, during March Break, 2019 and July, 2019.
  • Grade 11 World Religions in Toronto and New York City in July, 2019.
  • Grade 11 and 12 University English in Italy, during the month of July, 2019.
  • The Social Justice and Tolerance program will take place in Poland, Germany, Slovakia, and Hungary offering Grade 11 credits in Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity, and Grade 12 University courses in Canadian and International Politics in July, 2019.
