At a Special In-Camera Meeting on June 28, 2018, the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) approved the appointment of Patrick Daly as the Board's next Director of Education and Secretary.
Patrick Daly, currently a Superintendent of Education with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board, will assume the role of Director of Education with the Halton Catholic District School Board on August 20, 2018.“Patrick Daly is an accomplished Catholic educator and leader,” says Diane Rabenda, Chair of the Board. “The Board is incredibly confident that his extensive experience and commitment to student success will provide the ongoing vision, caring and excellence in education to ensure that our schools continue to thrive and serve the needs of our students, our families and our Catholic community.”
Prior to his career at Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic, Daly served the Halton Catholic District School Board for 25 years as a secondary teacher and department head of Canadian and World Studies at St. Ignatius of Loyola and Notre Dame Catholic Secondary Schools. Daly also held administrative positions as Vice Principal at St. Ignatius of Loyola, and Principal at St. Thomas Aquinas and Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary Schools.

As a Superintendent of Education for the past three years with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board, Daly headed a family of schools, and was responsible for all programs that support student success, Indigenous education, career pathways and continuing education. Daly worked in human resources by overseeing academic staffing, teacher recruitment and the new teacher induction program. He also served as the Chair of labour management, joint staffing and professional development committees.
