Halton Catholic Board Welcomes Students Back to School on September 5th!
 



On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, the Halton Catholic District School Board welcomes students back to school for the start of the 2017-2018 school year!

Quick Facts:

  • Important dates and holidays throughout the year can be found in our 2017-2018 School Year Calendar.
  • Registration is now open for September, 2017! Please contact your home school directly​ to determine hours of availability, registration requirements, and to book an appoinment. Visit our website for more information about how to register at one of our schools.
  • For student transportation informationstudent bus schedules, and notifications on delays and cancellations, please visit: www.haltonbus.ca​. In order to access student transportation information, either online or by telephone (1-888-803-8660), parents should have their child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN) on hand. This number can be found on a child’s report card or obtained from the school.
  • School start dates may vary for children in Kindergarten, as staggered entry is in effect. Parents of children attending Kindergarten this year are encouraged to check with their school for the correct start date for Kindergarten.
  • New this year ~ our Welcome Centre location in Oakville has relocated to the Thomas Merton Centre (171 Speers Road)! Our 2 Welcome Centres in Oakville and Milton provide guidance and support to families new to our school board and new to Canada. Learn more about our Welcome Centres.

Reminders:

1. Are you registered as a Catholic school supporter? As a registered Catholic school supporter, you are protecting and preserving Catholic education in Ontario. Learn more.

2. Have you updated your child's immunization records? Parents are reminded to get the required immunizations for their child and to notify the Halton Region Health Department to ensure these records are up to date. Please visit: halton.ca/immunize​, call 311, or contact the Halton Region at: 905-825-6000.

3. As the new school year approaches, the Board reminds all motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution when driving or walking near school zones, crosswalks and school buses.
