FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
It's Time to Register for Kindergarten at HCDSB!

The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) is pleased to announce that Advanced Kindergarten Registration will be taking place on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday January 22, 2020 for the 2020-2021 school year!

Last year, HCDSB introduced online Advanced Kindergarten Registration as the first part of the registration process. Now registering your child for school is as easy as 1, 2, 3! After filling out the online registration form, parents must then visit their home school to complete the second part of registration.

Parents are encouraged to visit their home school on the designated Kindergarten Advanced Registration days, Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22, 2020 during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to complete their child’s registration.

Registration Requirements:

To complete the registration process, parents must bring the following documents to their home school:
  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of age:
    • Year 1 (Junior Kindergarten) children are required to be 4 years of age on or before December 31, 2020.
    • Year 2 (Senior Kindergarten) children are required to be 5 years of age on or before December 31, 2020.
  • Roman or Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal certificate for the child or from one of the parents, in accordance with Policy I-22.
  • Proof of address

NOTE: Children currently registered in their Catholic school’s Year 1 program are not required to register for the Year 2 program. Placement in the Year 2 program will be processed by the school, unless otherwise stated.
