ND Community Clears Way to Championship Title!
“What is teamwork? Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress; working together is success”- Henry Ford

The Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School community is the true definition of family!

On November 11, during a snowy forecast, the Notre Dame Junior Football Team was preparing for their semifinal game against St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Secondary School.

Inch after inch, snow began piling on the field. Knowing that a snow-covered field would be cause to cancel the game, the team stayed after practice shoveling the field.

On semifinal game day, Notre Dame parents, students, and members of the community gathered at the field with shovels in hand, determined to clear the snow. After hours of shoveling, the field was completely cleared, and the game went on as scheduled!

Notre Dame was successful in their semifinal matchup, and advanced to the HCAA 2019 Junior Football Championship against Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School

With 19 seconds to spare, the Fighting Irish secured the championship title with a game winning touchdown!

The game would not have been made possible without the hard work of the ND community. On behalf of our students, and the Halton Catholic District School Board, thank you!
