ND STEAM Club Holds STEAM Night at St. Gabriel

The STEAM Club at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary held a successful STEAM Night at St. Gabriel on March 28, 2019.

The STEAM Club has been running for the past two years, and uses STEAM-based initiatives to help build student leadership and community. With over 60 members and a collaborative group of teachers, the club works on large-scale outreach projects within the community and the ND Family of Schools.

This year, as an outreach project, the club held STEAM Nights at 3 different elementary schools. This gave students an opportunity to demonstrate leadership, all while sharing knowledge about STEAM-related activities.

Activities were engaging and innovative, and included coding the microbit, DNA genetic code activity, paper tower building challenge, scratch programming, microviewers and cancer slides.

Thank you to everyone involved, and for ensuring we had an educational and exciting evening!
