Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School students worked hard to raise money and gather donations for its Angel Campaign, an Advent outreach program to help those in need during the holidays.

Last year, Notre Dame raised over $13,000 for the Angel Campaign. This year, they decided to raise the bar, aiming to raise $14,000 in just four weeks.

There was an outstanding outpouring of support from the community, from small local businesses to large corporations. Canadian Tire donated $800 in gift cards, Royale supplied paper towels and toilet paper for care baskets, and local dentists donated tooth brushes, tooth paste and mouth wash. Mapleview Centre, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul also donated gift cards to the cause.

On December 16, 2018, students bought, sorted and wrapped the gifts. Senior students and the senior boys’ basketball team then packed up cars and delivered the baskets to local families in need. At the end of the campaign, over $15,000 was raised in money and donations!

Congratulations, Notre Dame, on an amazing turnout, and thank you for all that you do for the Burlington community!
