On March 28, 2019, 50 excited dancers from St. Bernadette Catholic Elementary School travelled to participate in the Kiwanis Dance Festival at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.

The festival brought together dance squads from all over the Greater Toronto Area to compete for their chance at a top title.

St. Bernadette junior dance squad performed a high energy jazz routine called Wanna be Startin Something and brought home a platinum medal and a trophy for Best Overall Novice Routine.

The senior squad performed a hip hop/jazz routine to the song It Takes Two, which earned them a platinum medal and trophy for Best Overall Specialty Routine.

St. Bernadette also received the award for Best Dance School of the Festival!

Congratulations to St. Bernadette dance squads, and to Miss Cvetkovic, Mrs. Les, Miss Holgate and Mrs. Fagnani! Good luck at the Bedazzled Dance Competition on May 16 in Guelph!
