Child Care

Licensed Child Care programs are located in 10 of our schools, and are operated by community, non-profit Child Care providers. View a listing of Child Care centres located within the HCDSB.

For more information on licensed Child Care programs, please visit the Ontario Ministry of Education website.

Before and After School Care

Before and After School Care is available for school-age children, from 3.8 to 12 years of age.

The Before and After School Care programs are operated by authorized community Child Care providers, approved by the Region of Halton and the Ministry of Education, in locations where there is sufficient enrolment to sustain the programs.

As this is an optional program for children, a minimum enrolment of ten (10) students is required for each site. Licensed capacity at each of our elementary school sites vary, depending on the size of the school.

Please be advised that space in Child Care, and Before and After School Care may be limited and spots fill up quickly, so it is best to register as early as possible.

The 2020-2021 Child Fees for the Extended Day Program are available here!

Contact Information

Contact information for the Before and After (Extended Day) providers is available here. Parents who are interested in the program are asked to register with their local provider as soon as possible, to ensure a placement for their child.
