BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five (5) years successful teaching experience
  • Teaching experience of two divisions and/or specialized areas within school system
  • Completed Principal Qualifications Part I prior to beginning assignment, with a commitment to complete Part II within the first year of appointment
  • Masters of Education or equivalent is preferred
  • Completed O.C.S.T.A./O.E.C.T.A. Religious Education course, Parts I and II with a commitment to complete Specialist or equivalency (i.e. Masters of Religious Education)
  • Completed Board’s Catholic Leadership Program, Modules 1 and 2
  • Recommendation from Superintendent of Education

OTHER QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

  • Strong commitment to concept of Catholic School Community
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and addressing systemic barriers to equitable educational outcomes for all students
  • Demonstrated experience in creating safe, inclusive, equitable, learning environments that are free from discrimination
  • Academic and professional qualifications beyond the basic requirements
  • Demonstrated servant leadership management style
  • Proven leadership experience (including, but not limited to, Department Head, Consultant, Summer School Vice Principal, Night School Principal, System Level Committee work or equivalent)
  • Involvement in Special Education programs and curriculum development, implementation, assessment and evaluation
  • On-going participation in their own professional learning program
  • Positive interpersonal relationships with staff, students, parents and other members of the school community

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

  • An updated résumé and cover letter
  • A copy of the Certificate of Qualification
  • Leadership Development Program Certificate or Equivalent
  • A positive Pastoral letter of reference from your Parish (dated within the last twelve months)
  • Completed Leadership Candidate Profile
  • Two letters of professional reference
