There are two (2), temporary, thirty-five (35) hour per week positions available with duties effective immediately, ending no later than June 30th, 2022.

A.P.S.S.P. ($41,641 – $57,136)

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Chief of Mental Health Programming, Child & Youth Counsellors (CYCs) work as a member of an integrated school team. They collaborate with families, school staff, and community agencies to enhance student success and well-being. Child and Youth Counsellors promote, support and facilitate school and class-wide preventative initiatives and programs that foster healthy, safe, and inclusive Catholic school environments.  As part of an inter-disciplinary team, CYCs provide direct small group and individual support for students of all ages impacted by a range of social, emotional and developmental concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Qualified applicants will hold a Child Care Youth Worker Diploma from a recognized post Secondary institution.
  • Related work experience.
  • Knowledge of Board policies and procedures.
  • Problem solving, planning and creativity skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    This position is covered by the A.P.S.S.P. Collective Agreement.
