HCDSB currently offers an optional French Immersion Program beginning in Grade 1 at schools across our district.
About the Program
The French Immersion Program is an optional program with limited enrolment. The goal of the French Immersion Program is to develop functional proficiency in students through the provision of a significant amount of curriculum with French as the second language of instruction.
Students must be entering Grade 1 in their September start date, in order to be eligible to participate in the Board’s French Immersion Program.
Where is this Program Offered?
The French Immersion Program is offered regionally, and sites will change from time to time to address student enrolment and other considerations.
