My husband, Ron, and I have been together for almost 27 years. We both grew up in Etobicoke, but have lived in Georgetown since 2004.
We have two kids: Diana is almost 17, and would like to pursue a career into the Artificial Intelligence field; Billy is 15, and is thinking he would like to become an Architect.
We attend Holy Cross Catholic Church in Georgetown. Diana is an altar
server, a member of the 9:00 a.m. choir, and is now a Minister of the Word.
Billy is also an altar server and has been an usher. I am a Minister of the
Word, Eucharistic Minister and have been in the 9:00 a.m. choir for 10 years. We enjoy the sense of community that Holy Cross Parish provides for us and will continue for years to come.
I was on the St. Brigid Catholic School Council for 10 years until Billy graduated from grade 8 last year. I was the Chair and Co-chair for 5 years and was involved in the last boundary review, a uniform vote and many fundraising and social events for the school.
I grew up in a family that always had golf on during the weekend and I was lucky enough to learn how to play at a young age. I love the sport but don’t play as often as I would like! We love to cottage in the summer and try to “unplug” as much as possible.
My family and I love living in Halton Hills. We have watched it grow over the past 15 years and will see much more growth over the next 10 to 15 years. Despite this growth, Georgetown continues to have a small town feel, which I think is part of its charm and appeal.
I am proud to be a part of this community, and feel blessed to be able to serve as the Catholic School Trustee for Halton Hills for the next 4 years.
